MyFit Zip Air Voluntary Recall

Voluntary Recall: MyFit Zip Air Manufactured between September 2020 and August 2024.

Artsana USA, Inc. (Chicco USA) has decided that certain MyFit Zip Air Harness Booster child seats fail to conform to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 213, “Child Restraint Systems”. In certain configurations the child seat may allow excessive chest movement in a crash, increasing the risk of injury in a crash. This recall does not affect aircraft installation.

Please locate your product’s model number and date of manufacture by looking at the label included on the bottom of your car seat as shown below:

Until you receive the remedy kit, you may continue using your car seat by ensuring that it is installed in either A or B modes listed below. You can reference the diagrams and questions below to determine if your installation method is safe to use while waiting for the recall remedy to be performed:

Installation A
Is your MyFit Zip Air installed with top tether and/or Lap-Shoulder Belt? If yes – your installation method is safe to continue using.

Installation B
Is your MyFit Zip Air being used in BOOSTER Mode? If yes – your installation method is safe to continue using.

Installation C
Is your MyFit Zip Air installed with the lap belt only AND no top tether? If yes – your installation method is not safe to use until the recall remedy has been performed.


To receive the free remedy kit for the MyFit Zip Air please confirm your contact information by completing the form below on this page. Another notification will be sent to your address on file once the remedy kit is available.

The remedy kit will consist of (i) LATCH D-Rings with Webbing, (ii) Installation Instructions, and (iii) updated User Guide. The remedy will take around 10 minutes to complete.
