Quick Tip: Always use top tether when available. Before placing the car seat in the vehicle, remove the top tether from the tether storage hook on the back of the seat. You will attach the top tether later in the process.
Place your Fit3x™ on the vehicle seat in the forward-facing position. Make sure it is not blocking the vehicle seat belt buckle and that the base is flat on the vehicle seat surface. Lay the tether strap over the back of the vehicle seat.
Check that the headrest of the vehicle seat does not interfere with the headrest of the Fit3x™.
Squeeze the recline adjustment handle and pull or push the seat to adjust to a reclined position.
Make sure the bubble level falls between the two lines for the booster installation mode of use. Readjust the recline as necessary.
Locate the lower anchor straps and ensure they are routed correctly for forward-facing use. Push the button on the lower anchor adjuster and pull the strap to extend the strap to its full length. Attach both lower anchor connectors to the vehicle lower anchor bars.
While pushing down on the seating surface of the car seat, pull the end of the lower anchor strap until both straps are tight.
Quick Tip: Using the lower anchors to secure the Fit3x™ in booster mode helps stabilize the seat while the child gets in and out.
Ensure your Fit3x™ is set up correctly for booster usage.
Loosen, unbuckle, and store away the 5-point harness into the storage compartment in the seat back. Store the harness buckle into the storage compartment in the seat bottom.
Make sure your child is positioned correctly in the seat with their back flat against the backrest. Adjust the headrest position to fit your child correctly, ensuring the shoulder belt guide is positioned at or just slightly above the child’s shoulders.
Route the lap-shoulder belt across the child’s hips and chest, then buckle the vehicle belt.
Correctly thread the shoulder belt through the orange shoulder belt guide located at the bottom of the headrest.
The vehicle seat belt should lay flat and snug against child’s hips and shoulders. Secure the vehicle seat belt to vehicle.
